Collectors and dealers pay more for banknotes graded by PMG and, as a result, PMG-graded notes and collections have achieved world record prices at auction. Several PMG-graded notes have broken the $1 million barrier, including an 1891 $1,000 Silver Certificate that sold for $2.6 million, a 1951 China 10,000 Yuan that realized $2 million and a 1919 Czechoslovakia 5,000 Korun that was the first PMG-certified note from Europe to pass the $1 million mark at auction.

PMG has graded more than 10 million banknotes from virtually every country, past and present. That number includes modern notes as they're printed and released around the world, rarities from the dawn of paper money in the 14th century and every numismatic treasure in between, from the "Holy Grail" of uncut currency to a $20 bill with a "Del Monte" banana sticker that became attached to it during the printing process.
